The Car and Driver 10Best is an award won by, you guessed it, the 10 best vehicles of that year. To earn the title of the “best,” the vehicle’s details – such as the infotainment system and cabin space – are nitpicked. The price must be under $90,000 and is taken into consideration. The award was introduced 40 years ago, and the previous year’s winners are the first on the chopping block. The vehicles are on the 10Best list until they get dethroned. Let’s talk about some of the features that advanced the 2022 CT5-V and CT4-V Blackwings to earn the award this year. 

The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing’s power comes from a 6.3-liter V8 engine with 668 horsepower, 659 lb.-ft. of torque, a six-speed transmission, and rear-wheel drive. The performance and advanced aerodynamic features are the main focus of the new Cadillac. The CT5-V barely makes the cut with a starting price at $87,090. 

The 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing starts at $59,990, considerably less than the CT5-V Blackwing, but no less impressive. The CT4-V made Car and Driver’s list by being fun to drive. The CT4-V may not have the performance pride compared to the CT5-V, but it was made for more of the everyday driver desiring luxury instead of those who have a need for speed.
