Cadillac is among the oldest automobile brands in the entire world, and just like any good story this has a semi scandalous beginning. Cadillac began back in 1902 from the remains of the Henry Ford Company. After a squabble with Henry Ford and some of his investors, Ford then left the company with a few key financial partners, and the story of Cadillac began.

Some of Cadillac’s first automobiles were called the Runabout and Tonneau (see image below) and were launched in October of 1902. These were basically horseless carriages powered by a single cylinder engine that could take them to a whopping 10 miles per hour.
