The Coolest Classic Cadillac’s ‘ Landers Chevrolet Cadillac of Joplin
There is no doubt that Cadillac is one of the most luxurious automakers in the United States and is known for their ever so classic Cadillac’s. For over 100 years, Cadillac has been making its mark — it’s one of the oldest car companies in the world! Cadillac was founded in 1902 by Henry Ford and Henry Leland. In 1909 Cadillac was purchased by General Motors and by this time Cadillacs were already a well-known car brand worldwide. Later down the road, the Cadillac brand became known for its style, innovation, and reliability! This is why Cadillac’s remain some of America’s favorites. Now, we all know the amazing modern day Cadillacs, but let’s take a peek at Cadillac’s beginnings! Keep reading as we stroll down memory lane.
1937 Cadillac Phaeton – There is nothing classier than the 1937 Cadillac Phaeton! It was a sight to see although it was out of mostly everyone’s price range during this time due to the Great Depression. The Phaeton was designed by designer John Hampshire.
1959 Eldorado Biarritz – Just look at this one…a beauty! From the rear wheels being covered, huge tail fins and crazy cool chrome detailing take this up a notch for sure! The headline for this vehicle was “new standard of the world in splendor.” Only 1,320 were manufactured, which makes them tough to find in any condition today.
1957 DeVille – This might be the most iconic Cadillac to date. I mean even Joe Nichols sings about it in his country hit, “Brokenheartsville”. Many celebrities were known to drive this beaut, including Joni Mitchell, Aretha Franklin and even Bruce Springsteen. Oh! Even the king of music himself, Elvis Presley, bought one for his mother. So…enough said for the DeVille.
Cadillacs continue to carry on their tradition even to this day! Are you interested in buying a Cadillac in Joplin? Well, then swing on by Landers Chevrolet Cadillac of Joplin today for all your Cadillac needs!
