Cadillac InnerSpace Concept Focuses on Passenger Personal Time

Cadillac has been multitasking. While creating futuristic cars such as the 2023 Lyriq and the 2023 Escalade-V, Cadillac looked even further to design a concept vehicle that is every sci-fi watcher’s dream car. Bypassing previous concept vehicles, Cadillac’s InnerSpace concept makes one huge change from any current vehicle on the Landers Chevrolet Cadillac lot in Joplin, Missouri. The InnerSpace concept was introduced at CES, the Consumer Electronics Show held by the Consumer Technology Association. CES is held once a year to bring together plans for future technology from artificial intelligence to home office supplies. The first took place in 1967. 

At the 2022 show, Cadillac introduced the InnerSpace and provided the blueprints for a whole new level of luxury. The InnerSpace creates a place where comfort is available on the move. The concept would include Biometric input and AI machine learning to make each InnerSpace vehicle as unique as the owner. Going even further, each journey would be different as the AI would evolve to fit the passengers’ likes. With less stress, each drive, stuck in traffic or otherwise, would be a time where you could get more done. That extra time spent trying to get from one place to another could be used for your own personal time or finishing projects. Dealer’s choice. 

That’s a key point. Each journey is different because the passengers can choose how to spend that time without having to worry about paying attention to the road. The front of the car, where the steering wheel would be, all the way across to the other door frame, where the dashboard is in today’s vehicles, would be an SMD LED display. This display gives the passengers the choice between Augmented Reality Engagement, Entertainment, or Wellness Recovery options if they wish to add to their experience. 

While seeing the cars in front of you became unnecessary with the autonomous driving feature, the InnerSpace is designed so the two passengers can view the outside from almost all around them, including the sky from above through a clear roof. Just because the passengers are not in charge of the drive doesn’t mean they lose the feel of driving a luxury car. Goodyear tires made of soybean oil and rice husk-based silica provide a smooth and quiet drive. Doors swing upwards and chairs pivot towards the exits for easier loading and unloading the vehicle.

If the VCR could showcase at the CES before it became a household object, the possibility of household self-driving cars is on the table. We’ll let you know if Cadillac ever plans on producing the InnerSpace concept for the streets.
